Karen S. Hyatt serves as Asst. Secretary/Treasurer on the Board of Trustees for the Pacific Northwest University of Health Sciences. Karen is the owner of Karen S. Davis Hyatt Consulting firm. Karen also serves as Vice President of the Hyatt Corporation whereby the corporation provides consultation to healthcare related entities in Washington. Karen and her husband Norman own several Skilled nursing homes, assisted living and retirement facilities in the Washington state area.
Karen also served as legislative consultant and registered lobbyist during the 1976-1980 legislative sessions. She was responsible for the formulation and execution of the lobbying program and Political Action Committee and legislative education of the membership, served as the representative for WSHFA to several state and federal committees dealing with nursing homes, long-term care and certificate of need/health planning. Karen has also testified before various state and federal bodies on issues concerning long-term care, national health insurance and Medicare.
Karen currently serves on the Washington Health Care Association-Political Action Committee and Government Affairs Committee, and The Capitol Theatre - Board of Directors as a Vice President.
