Raul Garcia

Raul Garcia, D.O., Assistant Dean of Postdoctoral Affairs

Dr. Garcia is originally from Cuba.  Came to Yakima via Madrid, Miami, and New York where he obtained his DO degree from the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine.  Over the last fifteen years, he has been very involved with the American Osteopathic Association and the osteopathic profession, especially in the postgraduate arena.  Amongst his most famous accomplishments was the creation of the profession’s Bureau of Interns and Residents and the Council of Young Physicians.  Dr. Garcia also served as President of the New York State Osteopathic Medical Society and helped propel the state’s association into success.  His goals in the Northwest are to create the best postgraduate training programs in the country enabling us to serve our communities’ needs in an exemplary manner.
