Stina Singel, M.D., Ph.D., Instructor of Pathology
Dr. Stina Singel infuses her teaching with her passion for research. This enthusiasm earned her the title of Most Distinguished Professor by the PNWU students in 2009.
Dr. Dale graduated Magna Cum Laude from Harvard University and earned her medical degree from the University of California San Diego and a PhD in Neurosciences from The Salk Institute. She is a postdoctoral systems biology research fellow at UCSD. She has published articles on her research on Alzheimer’s disease and presented at professional meetings on her stem cell research
In addition to her teaching duties at PNWU, Dr. Singel is a medical oncologist at a local Yakima practice. She relocated to Washington State from San Diego in 2008 and loves the outdoors of the Pacific Northwest but is still getting used to the weather here. When she’s not at work, Dr. Singel enjoys spending time with her young family and has a black belt in Tae Kwan Do.
